The fourth edition of one of the most prestigious tournaments of the AOE2DE is approaching. Its classic format not only remains attractive but it seems that this is part of its success. As most of you know the tournament takes place only on the map of Arabia. This map is so standard that many consider it the most important map to know how to play, to the detriment of others. Clearly we all started practicing on arabia when we started, exploring the different civilizations and strategies. The magic that this map generates is still intact and soon we will see the best players in the world display their skills. By the way, we will be able to analyze how the new civilization balances will develop in this type of format.
There will be 16 invited players and another 16 will have to qualify on October 30 and 31. The basic prize pool will be $75,000 and will be increased by donations and extra subscriptions. Sponsors include Microsoft, PinzTec and MsHuggah.
All games will be streamed on the KOTD’s organizing channel, MembTV, although the stream is completely open.
We will keep you updated on the news of this wonderful event!
This September 24, 25 and 26 starts the 1 vs 1 lightning tournament with which we inaugurate the new website through which we will organize a lot of tournaments and leagues!
Players: Biry; Pela (Levi); Kingston; Whocl; KikO; Uno1; cHELOO; Uzzi.
Prizepool: $100
There will be two groups from which the 4 players who will advance to the Play-Offs will be selected. All series will be best of 3 with pre-determined maps for each instance.
The players can choose civilizations freely, but they can not repeat the same selection on the series.
Broadcasting: We will be streaming the games on Deep Waters official Twitch channel.
We remind you that with the coupon: free, the first 100 players will have a Basic subscription for 6 months for free, so don’t miss it!

Last night TheViper made history in one of the most memorable events in the Age of Empires II. The Norwegian defeated Liereyy 4-3 in the thriller final. The two talented players brought their skills and best strategies to deliver an incredible final and did not disappoint anyone. They put on a show, an event that we all the lovers of Age of Empires II will never forget.
Congratulations to the new champion TheViper, the finalist Liereyy, the rest of the players, the organization and the sponsors.
The podcast network and online history channel launches its Age Of Empire tournament with nothing less than a $5000 prize. We leave you more information in this link
History and Age are completely inseparable. For many players it aroused interest either from a historical perspective or through the verisimilitude that the civilizations presented in relation to their time. The architecture, the voices of the units, their bonuses among other elements demonstrate the importance and the primordial relationship. The story is not a condiment, it is a constituent part of the gameplay that we know today in Age Of Empire.
We leave you the words of Dan Snow and James Carson about it:
Dan Snow, historian, comments.
“Ever since that memorable week when I turned off my phone, stocked up on supplies and spent every waking hour playing Civilization II, I’ve been obsessed with historical games. I instantly realized that these games entertain but also educate.”
“Many people confess to me that they were introduced to a love of history thanks to Age of Empires or Total War. Like historical novels, games spark the imagination, captivate and set people on the path of fascination with what has gone before.
“We have a lot of passionate historical strategy fans at Team History Hit, so it was only natural to launch our new gaming section. We’re going to let our history-crazed audience know what the best history games out there are and how to play them.”
“And most exciting of all, we’ll be hosting eSports tournaments – what could be more historical? Tournaments date back to the 12th century, this is the modern incarnation, literally in the spirit of its medieval ancestors.”
James Carson, CEO of History Hit, sees gaming and e-sports as offering an exciting opportunity to connect history with a new global audience:
“History Hit is dedicated to making history more accessible in the digital age. Being a player of historical games for over 25 years, history and gaming clearly fit together: we will offer something very different from other gaming websites by only covering games that are clearly based on history. E-sports is a fast-growing entertainment format and many historical games are well suited to it.
We are excited about connecting this vast global community with our digital history channels.”
